Q: When I order from you when will my order ship?
A: When you order your order will be processed and shipped within 3-5 business days unless otherwise stated and/or agreed upon by me and the buyer. All custom orders are subject to longer wait times sometimes due to stock shortages, workload, etc. PLEASE REMEMBER- I am a one man shop I do it all manufacture, shipping and receiving, ordering, accounting, etc. I make over 72 different items and I am usually 12-15 orders deep in multiple item orders. There are other issues that infrequently need to be addressed also such as payment issues. I ship nothing until payment is received, NO EXCEPTIONS. Your payment is dependent on PAYPAL or your other arranged avenue of payment. If Paypal has a problem in processing your payment then other arrangements can be made, however this will delay your order being shipped.

Q: Will you ship overseas?

Yes, We ship all over the world. However, there are policies regarding certain items shipped overseas.

We cannot control who orders from where. It is for that reason that our policy states that if you order an item and it is illegal to purchase, possess, or resell such an item and it is seized by your country's customs department it is entirely the responsibility of the customer. Budo Weapons will not be responsible for refunds or replacements of seized items. If the customer knowingly orders an item that is illegal in his city, state, country, etc. then it is the customers responsibility not ours. We do our part to supply, ship, and provide tracking information as our proof of shipment to our customers and that is all we can do.

Q: I ordered multiple items and the shipping rate was VERY high- WHY??

This is, in part, due to a shortcoming with the PAYPAL shipping calculator. A transactional based value for shipping has not been set in the PAYPAL system since that can be variable depending on a given order. Therefore the shipping calculator sets rates based on percentages and adds them to EACH item you choose. For single items this appears to be pretty accurate with our rates through DHL. For multiple item orders please contact us for a shipping rate quote. On average, most orders within the US except long weapons (subject to an oversize item surcharge) will range from $10.00-$15.00 on the East coast and Midwest and $15.00-$25.00 on the West coast. We ship with DHL and our rates have improved over the last couple of months so it can be estimated that these are accurate rates thus far.

Contacting us for multiple item orders will require that you submit your order in a modified manner rather than using the shopping cart. Instructions will be sent with your rate quote on how to do this.

Q: Do you ship to military addresses?
A: Some items I make cannot be delivered to a military base address. If you are asking then you should know why, right?? Don't ask me to bend the rules. Your order would most likely be confiscated and you could face charges by the military courts. I can ship to military addresses via USPS, even APO's. I cannot use UPS, DHL, etc because they will not deliver to PO Boxes(same idea as an APO).

Q: Do you keep everything in stock or do you make it as I order it?
A: I have a lot of items I make on hand. Others I do not simply because of space. I am a one man operation working out of small spaces. As time grows so will my business and so will my space and my ability to keep more things on hand. You should not be concerned that I may have to make your purchase as all of my processes are documented so I can duplicate them every time as quickly as possible.
**HINT*** I usually finish ahead of schedule and meet or beat my 3-5 day deadlines.
Q: Do you REALLY make everything you offer?
A: 99.9% of what we offer we make! I truly believe in what we offer to the public. In order for us to be confident in what you are getting we feel it is important for us to pick every piece of wood, metal, plastic, etc. so that we know for sure you are getting what we advertise and not some cheap broomstick knockoff. All items are 100% made by Budo Weapons.
Q: After my order ships when will it arrive?
A: I use Airborne/DHL for my shipping. Most orders that I have sent out on the East coast arrive within 1-2 days (this surprises even me). If I send to the West coast it takes anywhere from 3-5 days. Overseas shipping I have no idea. For overseas shipping I use the good 'ol USPS. I can ship things very inexpensively that way. The drawback is that I cannot track them should they be late and delivery day is not guaranteed. If you are overseas be aware that if you ask me to use a premium shipper you will pay the premium costs.
Q: Can you supply me with patterns of some of the items you make?
A: Sure can!! But you must buy one first and that will be your pattern. Folks, I did not start this business to become a millionaire by no means and I am willing to help just about anyone. However, I do have my own life's responsibilities. I learned to make these things all on my own through a lot of diligent research, trial and error of materials, and patience to bring them to life for all of you and maintain a reasonable price. Please don't ask me to give up part of my livelihood for free. Thanks!
Q: How long do custom orders take?
A: It all depends on what you want. If you want metal work it will depend on a number of factors, i.e. what is it, what is it's dimensions, will I have to engineer it for you, etc , etc. If I have to engineer it then I can tell you after I have done my engineering and/or research work. Keep in mind if I have to engineer something for you it will take a little longer and will cost more than a standard item I offer. 2 weeks to a month is a reasonable time to estimate depending on what you order.
In addition, all custom orders are to be paid for in advance. No exceptions. If you can't pay for them in advance don't expect me to start work on them. A lot of time goes into each item I make for you and I cannot be expected to use materials I have paid for without being paid for the work. So if you have discussed having custom items made with us and have not paid for them they will not have even been started until payment is received.
